My first full- length novel is a suspense-filled, dream-weaving murder mystery novel that revolves around the early stages in the detective career of Logan Matheson. The story begins with a flashback to a year prior to the present when Det. Matheson loses his family, to include wife and unborn child at the hands of a serial killer he has been chasing since he graduated the academy.
Matheson is sent by the Bureau to a remote town in Colorado to remain protected until the killer is apprehended. He goes into a deep depression and turns to alcohol to blur the images that stain his memories.
Vivid dreams of Matheson committing heinous murders begin to wake him violently every time he sleeps which are always followed by a news report the next day stating that the murders had actually happened.
He begins to think his mind is finally giving in when evidence found within his home lands him in the position of the prime suspect in this new string of murders. Time is passing and the doors of sanity are closing quickly; it will take everything he has to pull himself together, remember how to be a detective and solve this case before his time is up forever.
